Jesmond Calleja - Art Gallery of New South Wales

Jesmond Calleja’s museum employment spans a period of 15 years at the Australian National Maritime Museum, the Powerhouse Museum, the Earth Exchange and the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Jesmond holds a BA degree in archaeology and paleoanthropology. Jesmond has been working at the Art Gallery of New South Wales for the past eight years. While continuing to manage the cataloguing and documentation portfolio of the Registration department, he provides a vital role in the management of the collection and continually assesses ways of making the collection more accessible to the general public. His main focus in the last five years has been the development of a complex interactivity between the Gallery’s digital image database and the collection management system and between these and the gallery’s website.
