This article reflects upon the efforts necessary to reform the governance system in India to ensure that torture is not applied as a tool for law enforcement or used as a state practice. The article also addresses the issue of reparation for victims of state torture and reviews various strategies for reparation, suggesting reforms to empower the courts and proposed specialist tribunals. |
