The model introduces broader and more structured undergraduate programs followed by a professional graduate degree, research higher degree or entry directly into employment. Melbourne Law School

An extensive range of degree programs are available to prospective students at Melbourne Law School. Significantly, in 2008 the School will begin the transition to a fully graduate law school. Over the next few years, the Melbourne Juris Doctor (JD) will become the only degree offered by the School that will lead to admission to legal practice. The final intake for the LLB program took place in 2007, with intakes into the Melbourne JD program increasing in planned stages between 2008 and 2011. The Law School will continue to teach the LLB in parallel to the JD, to allow existing LLB students and those admitted in 2007 to complete their studies.
