Michelle Herring joined Melbourne University in February 2003 as a postgraduate tax lecturer and presently teaches tax subjects part-time in the Graduate and JD programs. She is also working part-time as in-house legal counsel at a private investment house. Previously, Michelle Herring was a senior associate in the tax group at Clayton Utz where she completed her Articles of Clerkship and worked for six years until she went on maternity leave in April 2002. While at Clayton Utz, Michelle Herring had experience in capital gains tax, employment tax, GST, corporate tax and international tax. She was particularly involved in mergers and acquisitions work.
