Keep up-to-date

The Law Library subscribes to various alerting tools to help you keep up-to-date with developments in the law, new government policy, amendments to legislation, new publications and other news. Generally alerts can be sent to you as e-mails or as RSS feeds. You can choose how often you receive them and for how long you want to continue receiving the alerts etc.

Books

  • TROVE - the catalogue of the National Library of Australia, which includes the catalogues of hundreds of Australian libraries. A search must be performed first and then an RSS feed alert can be created. Please note that email alerts are not pssible from TROVE.

Journal Articles

CONTENTS PAGE ALERTS - receive the latest contents pages of individual journal titles as soon as they are published

  • SmartCILP - US journals Subscription alert service
  • Journal TOCs - free alert service containing 400 law titles. Mainly UK journals, but also contains many non-UK titles.

SAVED SEARCH ALERTS - conduct a search and save it, and you will receive an alert each time a relevant article is added to the database.

Please note that a search must be performed before an alert can be set up.

  • AGIS - Australian journals - subscription service.
  • Legal Trac - worldwide journal coverage - subscription service
  • Westlaw Watch - US, UK, Canadian journal coverage - subscription service

BROAD SUBJECTS - alerts on broad topics eg: IP law

Receive details of unreported judgments as soon as they are handed down.
