Citation Guides
The predominant citation style used for legal materials in Australia is the Australian Guide to Legal Citation, 3rd edition (AGLC3). It is published by the student staff of the Melbourne University Law Review (MULR).
As of 2010, AGLC is in its 3rd edition. A non printable PDF version can be downloaded here.
A printed version can be purchased from the Melbourne University Law Review Association for A$20.00 per copy.
More detailed information on the Guide is available here, on the MULR web site.
In order to assist users of reference management software, such as RefWorks, the Law Library has produced a Guide to Using RefWorks with the AGLC3. The University of Queensland has produced a guide for using EndNote with AGLC3 here. For more detailed information on using the Australian Guide to Legal Citation with reference management applications, go to the Law Library's EndNote / RefWorks page.
The University of Melbourne Library has information on how to download and use EndNote and Refworks.
