Question (#21): How much does it cost to print?
 
Answer:

Printing inside the Law PC Labs are charged at 10 cents per page.

Printing from the Public Access Terminals using a Unicard photocopy card is charged at 12 cents per page.

Question (#20): How do I check my printing balance?
 
Answer: To check your printing balance, log onto any PC inside the Law PC Labs and go to the start menu. Locate and click on the 'Printing Balance' shortcut. You will need to enter your email username/password when prompted.

Question (#19): How do I purchase more printing credits?
 
Answer: Printing credits can be purchased from the IT Officer in Room 321 or at the Circulation Desk using EFTPOS or Credit Card (VISA & Mastercard only).

For cash transactions, you will need to visit the Finance Office on Level 9 of the Law Building and return the receipt to the IT Officer or Circulation Desk for processing.


Question (#18): Why don't I have a printing account?
 
Answer: Law student print accounts are created automatically upon first print. If you are still experiencing difficulties, please email:law-labhelp@unimelb.edu.au along with your username.

Question (#17): How much free printing credits do I get?
 
Answer: All students undertaking a Law Subject are entitled to free printing credits. Credits are allocated on a semester basis including summer semester as follows:
  • U/G: $10 (100 pages) / semester
  • P/G: $10 (100 pages) / semester
  • RHD: $100 (1000 pages) / semester
  • JD: $50 (500 pages) / trimester
Note: Credits are only valid within the Law PC Labs and are not transferable.

Question (#16): Can I print at the Law Library?
 
Answer: Yes. Students currently undertaking a law subject can print from the Law PC Labs. Other patrons, including members of the public can print using the Public Access Terminals.
