| The Law Library is predominantly a reference library, and many of the books it holds may not be borrowed.
Loan Periods:
- General text books may, with the exception of some marked
"overnight loan", be borrowed for twenty-eight
days.
- Overnight loan books must be returned before closing time on the next week-day.
- Reserve books with "2 hour loan" labels may be borrowed
for 2 hours in the library; those with "overnight loan" labels may also
be borrowed overnight but must be returned before closing time on the
next week day.
If you need a book which is on loan to another person, the
Law Library staff can place a hold on the item. This will reserve
it for you when it returns to the library. You can also place
a hold on a book directly on the
Catologue
catalogue.
You may renew books by presenting them at the loans
desk. The Law Library accepts renewal requests by telephone - please call
8344 6177. You can also renew a book directly on the Catlogue
catalogue.
The Law Library imposes fines for all overdue books, including
Reserve items, so please return the books when they are due.
Signs on the noticeboards list the scale of fines imposed
for overdue items, and there is a leaflet available in the
foyer with the list of penalties.
Loans cease fifteen minutes before closing time.
