Jason Bosland joined the Melbourne Law School as a Senior Lecturer in 2011. Prior to that he was a Lecturer in the Faculty of Law at the University of New South Wales. Jason has law degrees from the Melbourne Law School and from the London School of Economics, where he was awarded the Stanley De Smith prize in public law.
Jason’s primary research interests are in the areas of media law, especially defamation and privacy, open justice and the media, contempt of court and freedom of speech. He is the Deputy Director of the Centre for Media and Communications Law and is a joint editor (with Professor Andrew Kenyon and Professor Kathy Bowrey) of the Media & Arts Law Review.
