International Students
Studying with us as an international student
The Melbourne Law Masters is a program with a distinctly international focus. In the last five years, our students have come from more than 60 different countries across all continents of the world. The diversity of the Melbourne Law Masters is certainly one of the most exciting aspects of the program. The Melbourne Law Masters also offers excellent support services for international students to help them adjust to studying in the program and life in Melbourne.
Melbourne Law Masters Office
The Melbourne Law Masters is managed by a small office of 9 professional staff, based on the sixth floor of the law building. The Program Manager is Kaye Nankervis, who works closely with the Associate Dean (MLM) in relation to all aspects of the program. Together with Mark Falconer, Admissions and Enrolments Manager, she provides high level advice to students about course and subject choice. Students may also consult with the Associate Dean, a Director of Studies or individual subject lecturers for this purpose. Friendly and approachable staff at the MLM office counter are available to assist with student queries throughout the day. The MLM office can also put students in touch with other MLM resources, relevant to their needs, including the Law Library; the Legal Academic Skills Centre; the Careers Office and the research groups.

Studying in Melbourne
Melbourne is Australia's most cosmopolitan city. More than 40% of its residents were born overseas and it receives almost 1.5 million visitors a year. While the official language is English more than 100 languages are spoken by Melbournians. And Melbourne revels in its cultural diversity, which has become a natural part of its make-up and is critical to its self-image. Melbourne is exciting and vibrant, but also a comfortable place to live. It is famed for a staggering choice of cuisine, café-filled laneways, beautiful parks and village-like inner suburbs, each with its own special history and character. It is home to major sporting events: the Australian Open; the Australian Grand Prix; the AFL Grand Final and the Melbourne Cup.
Not far away, in regional Victoria, is a host of other attractions: beaches, mountains, deserts, historic townships and the riverina district.
