How to Apply

Applications for semester 1 and 2 in 2012 are still being accepted. Please note that places may be limited in some subjects - contact us for details.

Local students

Applicants must:

  • Complete an Application for Admission:
    Download theApplication for Admission for 2012
  • Attach original or certified copies of complete academic transcripts (unless studies were completed at the University of Melbourne)
  • Attach evidence of citizenship status
    The University of Melbourne requires all students to provide evidence of their citizenship status. Australian and New Zealand citizens may provide an original or certified copy of their passport, certificate of citizenship or birth certificate. Permanent residents may provide a certified copy of their passport and visa.
  • Provide the name and address of two referees (at least one of whom must relate to your employment experience, if applicable)
  • Attach a current curriculum vitae (CV).

International Students

International applications can be made directly to the University or through one of our Overseas Representatives.

International applicants may apply in any of the following ways:

Applicants should complete a form and lodge it together with:

  • An original or certified copy of your complete academic record including a university explanation or definition of the grading scale. If the documents are not in English they must be accompanied by an official certified English translation
  • A current curriculum vitae (CV)

To help ensure availability we encourage you to apply by:

  • Semester 1: 31 October 2011
  • Semester 2: 30 April 2012

About the Application Process

  • Applications are accepted throughout the year.
  • Once we receive the completed application we aim to have a response to you within two weeks.
  • Applications for single subjects may be made any time before the subject begins, depending on availability and we will aim to respond to you sooner to allow preparation for the subject.
  • To help ensure availability for semester 2 we encourage you to apply by 1 June 2012.
