Single Subjects
The Melbourne Law Masters offers an exciting range of subjects that can be undertaken without enrolling in a formal degree. Available to both law and non law graduates, single subject enrolment is a great way to advance your professional knowledge in a specific area of law.
It also exposes you to some of the best legal minds in Australia and throughout the world and helps you to get a feel for graduate study. Many students who have completed single subjects with assessment have later enrolled in a master degree or graduate diploma and found single subject study has provided an excellent transition into their course.
Single subjects may be undertaken with or without assessment (on an audit basis) however in order to gain credit to a course, you must complete the subject with assessment. You can apply for single subjects anytime before the subject commences.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Legal practitioners in most jurisdictions across Australia are required to undertake mandatory Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activity in order to maintain their practising certificate. Melbourne Law Masters subjects have been accredited by the Law Institutes of Victoria and New South Wales and the Victorian Bar and may also meet the requirements in other Australian states and common law jurisdictions.
