Giorgio Sacerdoti has been, since 1986, a Professor of International Law at Bocconi University in Milan, the leading (private) university in Italy in the fields of economy, business and law.
Since 2000, he has held the Jean Monnet Chair in European Law. He specialises in international trade and commercial legal matters. From 2001 to 2009, he was one of the seven members of the Appellate Body of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva. He also acts as an investment and commercial arbitrator and is counsel to the Milan office of the English law firm Eversheds.
