Glenn studied law at Monash University, Australia and Queens University, Canada. He has been admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria. Glenn was a senior Tutor in Law at Monash University and currently is a Senior Lecturer at the Melbourne Law School. He has taught Principles of Public Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, and his optional course entitled: Rethinking Australian Democracy and the Law. He is currently the co–ordinator for Advance Legal Research. He is presently researching in the fields of democratic theory and practice, constitutional law, industrial law, human rights and republicanism. His book, Choosing the Republic (UNSW Press), was published in 2009 and he continues to write on the topic of Australian republicanism and constitutional change. Glenn will give a paper examining the political ownership of the process of constitutional amendment at the 2010 Australia and New Zealand Law and History Society Conference, to be held in Melbourne on 13-15 December 2010.
