Dr Haller is presently comparing the ways in which lawyers are regulated in various jurisdictions, both within Australia and overseas. In particular, she is interested in the implementation of consumer protection reforms in lawyer discipline and their impact. She is also monitoring the COAG National Legal Profession Reform Project.  She was recently interviewed about the reforms on Radio National's Law Report: http://www.abc.net.au/rn/lawreport/stories/2010/2881255.htm

Dr Haller has recently published a chapter 'Regulating the professions' in P. Cane, H. Kritzer (ed), The Oxford Handbook of Empirical Legal Research (2010) 216-234. She is also contributing a chapter to a forthcoming book to be edited by Professor Richard Abel which compares the ways lawyers are disciplined in various parts of the world.
