Maeve McDonagh is Professor of Law at University College Cork, and serves as a solicitor for private practice and local government.
She is author of Freedom of Information Law and Cyber Law (Irish Monograph) (with L. Crowley). She has published papers and presented seminars on FOI, data protection and related issues in a range of jurisdictions. She has undertaken FOI consultancy in Ireland and the UK, including advising government on the formulation of FOI legislation and its implementation, advising agencies on FOI implementation and advising both applicants and agencies on FOI appeals. She has acted as a consultant to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
