Olivia Barr graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Laws (Distinction) and a Bachelor of Arts (Anthropology) and from the University of British Columbia with a Master of Laws by research. She is currently completing her PhD at Melbourne Law School.
Olivia has worked as a government solicitor, in law reform and for the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. She has lectured in Property Law at Deakin University and currently teaches Australian Legal Process and Legal Institutions in the Melbourne Law Masters' programme.
Olivia’s current scholarship is in the areas of common law, jurisprudence and jurisdiction.
