Reinout Vriesendorp is a Professor of Civil and Commercial Law at Tilburg University.
Previously, he worked as a lawyer in The Hague and New York. He currently teaches property law and insolvency law, and is a fellow of the European Banking Centre at Tilburg University. He is a member of the editorial boards of the Dutch Insolvency Law Review (Tijdschrift voor Insolventierecht) and International Insolvency Review. He is substitute judge in the Court of Appeals in Amsterdam (insolvency chamber) and was a member of the governmental committee preparing a revised Insolvency Act for the Netherlands.
