Professor Roderick Wood

Roderick Wood is a Professor at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. He teaches personal property security law, bankruptcy and insolvency law, and corporate reorganisation and restructuring law. He has published extensively in the fields of secured transactions law, insolvency law and personal properties law in Canada and New Zealand, and recently completed a book on Canadian bankruptcy and insolvency law. Professor Wood served on the drafting committee that developed the CCPPSL model Act that has been adopted by the majority of Canadian provinces and territories, and was a member of the Canadian delegation in the development of international secured transactions instruments covering railway rolling stock and space assets.
