Sunita Jogarajan specialises in taxation law. She joined the LawSchool part-time in July 2004 and became a a full-time academic in July 2006. Sunita worked in the tax practice of KPMG Melbourne for 7 years in corporate tax, tax policy and practice development. She has been involved in a multi-billion dollar international due dilligence, engagements for regional governments and policy advice.
Sunita's primary research interests are in tax policy, the role of multinational institutions and international tax. She has written on the role of the IMF on tax reform and the integration of tax regimes in ASEAN member countries. She is currently undertaking doctoral research in tax treaty history. Sunita teaches tax at the undergraduate level to LLB and non-law students. She also teaches Corporate Tax in the Masters program. In 2010, Sunita was awarded an Australian Learning and Teaching Council citation for "outstanding contribution to student learning" in respect of her undergraduate and postgraduate tax teaching.
