Become a Mentor

The MLS Mentor Program is managed by Career Development Services (CDS). It aims to support students' formal academic training by providing a link to the profession and exposure to the practical realities of working in the law. The program is designed to motivate and encourage students and provide them with a sense of direction for their career path.

The program provides students with a valuable opportunity to: gain insight into the profession, develop networks in the law in Australia and explore career options.

Mentors are drawn from the legal profession and beyond, reflecting the diverse interests of our students. Mentors participating in the program include senior representatives from the legal, corporate, government and community sectors.

Mentors are encouraged to register all year-round. Further information on how to become a mentor, including registering your interest, can be found at Melbourne Law School Mentor Program.
