Office for Research
The Office for Research is an administrative unit of Melbourne Law School that supports the Associate Dean (Research) and the Faculty Research and Law Library Committee. It provides a range of services to staff and graduate research students, produces the annual MLS Research Report, and coordinates and promotes a number of events for staff and graduate research students including the MLS Faculty Research Seminar Series and Graduate Research Colloquia.

Professor Tania Voon provides academic guidance on research and research training in the Law School.
Tania works closely with the Office for Research, and with the Graduate Research Coordinators, Professor Sundhya Pahuja and Associate Professors Peter Rush and Jürgen Kurtz, to ensure that the MLS Graduate Research Degree program assists students to reach their research goals.
She is also responsible for providing academic assistance to staff preparing research grants, together with grant mentor Dr Chris Dent.

Madeline coordinates the Law School's Graduate Research Degrees and can assist with:

- Organising seminars and panel meetings
- Examination matters
Madeline is also the Committee Secretary to the Law School's Human Ethics Advisory Group (HEAG).

Angela is responsible for and can provide advice on the following:
- Collection and classification of research publications of both academic staff and Law students
- Maintain publications data on academic staff profiles
- Upload academic papers onto SSRN and AustLII
- Provide advice on Open Access for staff and students
- Coordinate copyright permissions for academic staff for Open Access papers
- Compiling and editing the Law School's annual Research Report
- Maintaining the Research & Expertise and Graduate Research Degree sections of the Law School's website

Administrative Officer

The Adminstrative Officer provides administrative support to the Office for Research and the Associate Dean (Research).
Responsibilites include:
- Responding to general enquiries
- Compiling the weekly MLS Research Bulletin and weekly Graduate Research Student Law Bulletin
- Assisting staff and students with research grant queries and applications including Research Support Funds
- Providing secretariat support to the Law School's Research and Law Library Committee and Research Finance Sub-Commitee
