The Tax Group teaches a wide range of subjects in postgraduate and undergraduate tax programs and carries out tax research on a wide range of tax law and policy topics. It is possible to enrol in a tax postgraduate degree or to do a single subject as part of Continuing Legal Education or Professional Development.

Members of Faculty of the Tax Group consult with the top tax law and accounting firms in Australia and the Tax Group has a very strong relationship with the tax profession. Leading members of the Bar and law and accounting firms teach in our postgraduate and undergraduate tax programs, and participate in Melbourne Law School Tax events, including a monthly Tax Discussion Group for academic and professional tax faculty.

The Tax Group at Melbourne Law School also has international tax connections and teaches a range of international tax courses in each year. We host the International Fiscal Association (Australian Branch) meetings in Melbourne and have strong links with New York University and the University of Virginia in the USA. We welcome international students in the postgraduate tax program.
